USCAA Announces New National Office Location
PITTSBURGH, PA – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), a national organization that exists to provide quality athletic competition on a regional and national level, is pleased to announce that the association is relocating its headquarters to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after 20+ years in the Hampton Roads area of Southeastern Virginia.
The USCAA is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 (as a reformation of the National Small College Athletic Association est. 1966) and is focused on providing small colleges across the country the opportunity to compete against like institutions for National Championships and student athlete recognition. Each year, the USCAA hosts 15 National Championship tournaments and two national invitationals.
With a membership consisting of more than 70 member institutions across the continental United States, with predominance in the Northeast US, the relocation better serves its membership in terms of accessibility and ease of access to a larger population of member schools.
“We are excited for the move,” said BJ Bertges, Chief Operating Office of the USCAA. “In a time of transition for the organization, relocating was just one piece of the puzzle, but a piece that we feel can continue to help us strategically grow the association and better serve our current membership. We are also excited to build a rapport with the Pittsburgh business and sports tourism communities and we look forward to what future collaborations will bring.”

The office is situated just ten miles outside of downtown Pittsburgh in a riverside community that is also home to a small community hospital, a shopping mall and theater and is adjacent to many dining and entertainment options. Just a short 15-minute drive allows for access to all the downtown amenities Pittsburgh has to offer including NFL, NHL, and MLB teams as well as several colleges and universities.

The primary goal of the USCAA is to provide members with an association that is devoted to the growth, vision, and values of their institutions. The USCAA’s focus is to enhance member institutions through athletics. The association intends to achieve this goal by providing opportunities for small colleges to compete on an equal level of competition with schools of like size and athletic programs. The USCAA conducts 15 national championships, names All-Americans, recognizes scholar athletes, and promote USCAA member schools in various means. The USCAA believes that the integrity and credibility of the association and its members is paramount in accomplishing its goal.
