Robert Morris-Springfield eliminates Rhema Bible 86-63
BROKEN ARROW, OKLA. -- The third-seeded Robert Morris-Springfield Eagles opened their consolation round game on Friday morning with a 16-0 run over the first five minutes and eliminated seventh-seeded Rhema Bible College 86-63.
Robert Morris-Springfield now advances to face fourth-seeded Southern Virginia University on Saturday morning at 11 am for fifth place.
The victors shot 63.2% from the floor for the game (36-of-57) and raced out to a 45-24 halftime lead on the basis of 18-of-26 shooting from the floor (69.2%). Rhema Bible came out cold from the floor only hitting 11-of-40 (27.5%). They warmed up in the second half hitting 15-of-28 (53.6%) but could never get within striking distance.
TYler Moretto paced three in double figures for Robert Morris-Springfield with 25 points, while Cameron Jones added 22 and Corley Lee chipped in 21 and eight rebounds. Joe Pratt scored a game-high 26 points for Rhema, while Gabe White added 21.
