USCAA Players of the Week Nov.24th-30th

Newport News, VA. - The USCAA wants to congratulate and celebrate its student athletes' accomplishments.  We are proud to announce the following Players of the Week for the week of November 24^th -30^th.

Men's Basketball (Divison I)

• - Player of the Week- Blake Elrod, Florida College, F, Jr., Green Cove Springs, FL- Elrod posted a double-double while leading Florida to a victory over Trinity Baptist. The Falcon's forward netted 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the contest.

Men's Basketball (Division II)

• - Player of the Week- Chris Dickison, PSU-Dubois, F, Fr., Stroudsburg, PA- Dickinson posted 32 points, 10 rebounds and four assists as he led his squad to a victory over Westmoreland County Community College. The freshman forward was 11-for-17 from the field and 10-for-14 at the foul line.

Women's Basketball

• - Co-Player of the Week- Ashley McQuillan, St. Joseph's, G, Fr., Brooklyn, NY- McQuillan averaged 25.7 points over a three game stretch. The Lady Bears' freshman drained 33 points while grabbing six boards and five steals against PSU-Berks. In the previous game against Gallaudet she netted 27 points to go along with seven rebounds. McQuillan began the week with a 17 point performance against Medgar Evers. She hit two free throws with 10 seconds left to lead the Lady Bears to a 60-58 victory.

• -Co- Player of the Week- Sonya O'Tash, Southern Maine, F, Sr., Lyman, ME- O'Tash posted her sixth double-double of the season as she led the Seawolves to a victory over USCAA opponent Hesser.  The senior forward posted 38 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals.  She shot 57 percent (17-for-30) from the field.
