Marketing Committee

Recommendations from committee

  • 1) National Office works with all coaching associations to push membership as a way to get recognized by associations.
  • 2) USCAA Branded Items - plaques with mission statement, press conference banners
  • Legislation
  • Article 3, Section 1 to read: Colleges in the United States that meet set criteria from the Board of Directors offering educational quality that meet or exceed criteria that is required to grant the school an accreditation.
  • Motioned: Matt Richards; Seconded: Mike Fischer; Vote: unanimous accepted

 

Championship Committee

Recommendations

  • 1) Start cycling championship bids to be known three years in advance. Bids sent out after end of year one of a current cycle. Increasing host terms to three years.
  • 2) Survey of membership for Division II in women's basketball.
  • 3) Require teams for post-season tournaments to send roster and stats to national office.
  • 4) Award size standard
  • 5) Coaches/Player of the Year awards for all sports

 

EligibilityTown HallMeeting

  • Legislation
    • To keep the grade point average guideline with the exception of having the 12 in the 12/24 rule.  Allowing a freshman student athlete in those sports that span both semesters not to lose eligibility after one semester.
