USCAA Announces New Member - University of Pittsburgh at Titusville

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association is proud to announce that the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville will join the association for the 2008-09 season.
The University of Pittsburgh at Titusville (UPT) is one of five campuses within the University of Pittsburgh state affiliated system. The University is located in Titusville, Pennsylvania and has an enrollment of 405 full-time students. UPT boasts a 15 to 1 student to faculty ratio, offering bachelor's degrees in business management, criminal justice, and human relations. Their top majors include nursing, business, physical therapist, pre-pharmacy, medical careers, and engineering.
University of Pittsburgh at Titusville Athletic Director, Brian Bibey states, "The University of Pittsburgh at Titusville strives to offer an opportunity for our student athletes that facilitates intellectual and athletic growth. Our philosophy of creating an environment that stresses academics, integrity, leadership, and values aligns closely with the mission of the USCAA. We are certain that our membership in the USCAA will enhance the continued mission of creating such an environment on our campus."
The University of Pittsburgh at Titusville fields four intercollegiate athletic teams, including women's volleyball, men's golf, men's basketball, and women's basketball. Prior to this year, UPT competed as a Division I member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. They remain affiliated with the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference in women's volleyball and golf. In 2008-09 they will compete for a National Championship amongst the top small college programs in the country as a member of the USCAA.
